The Ottawa Muslim Cemetery (OMC) is dedicated to providing a dignified final resting place for the Muslim community in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. However, due to increasing demand, the availability of burial lots is becoming limited.

  • Urgent Need for Expansion – At the current rate of demand, all available burial lots will be filled soon.
  • Growing Community Needs – With an increasing and aging Muslim population, as well as the impact of COVID-19, the need for additional burial spaces has become more critical.
  • Support for Muslim Families – Your donation can assist families who may struggle to afford funeral expenses.

Where Your Donation Goes

You can specify how your contribution should be used:

  • Cemetery Expansion – Help us create additional burial lots to serve future generations.
  • Support for Families in Need – Assist Muslim families who are unable to cover funeral costs.
  • Cemetery Improvements – Fund a bench, tree, shrub, fence, or other enhancements.
  • General Support – Contribute to the overall maintenance and operation of the cemetery.
