Life’s Legacy invites you to reflect on life, death, and the journey between them through an Islamic lens. Hosted by Ottawa Muslim Cemetery Inc., this gathering is rooted in dignity, respect, and a deep commitment to serving the community in accordance with Islamic burial traditions.
Families are welcome and a dedicated kids program will be available, allowing parents to fully benefit from the evening while their children are engaged in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Ahmad Hraichie, widely known as “The Muslim Undertaker” and “Aussie Mammoth,” is an Australian Islamic funeral director and former professional bodybuilder.

Dr. Faraj Hasan, DDS, MHS, is a popular Quranic reciter and community speaker known for his “#ReciteWithMe” initiative, often engaging with Canadian Islamic organizations like ISNA Canada and Human Appeal.

Mufti Abdul Wahab Waheed is a co-founder of Miftaah Institute and co-founder/director of Michigan Islamic Institute. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he began his Islamic studies in Canada and became a Hafiz at age 11.

Shaykh Dr Mustafa Briggs is a British scholar, writer, and international speaker celebrated for his thought-provoking lectures on Islam, African history, spirituality, and identity.

An English actor, screenwriter, spoken word poet, and rapper of Jamaican descent. He converted to Islam in 2002 and is also known by his stage name “Muslim Belal.”

Ustaz Isa Ma (Ma Yisa) is a Chinese Muslim da’ee, writer, and content creator in Canada, known for sharing Islamic teachings in English and Chinese on YouTube and Instagram, and serving as a youth spiritual advisor at SNMC Ottawa.

Imam Yama is a family and youth counselor, instructor at SeekersGuidance, and leads youth education programs across North American communities and mosques. He is married with three children.

Shaykh Zakaria Abdelaziz is a Canadian-born scholar trained for 10 years at Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen, specializing in Shafi‘i jurisprudence, Hadith, and Islamic sciences, and now teaches and lectures with multiple ijazat.

Ustadha Razia Hamidi is a Canadian Muslim scholar, speaker, and certified life coach based in Montreal, combining Islamic scholarship with psychology and education, and founder of DiscoverU.


Imam Dirie Ahmed is a Canadian Islamic scholar and educator, trained in Islamic Law at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University, known for youth work, Arabic instruction, and teaching traditional Islamic sciences.

Shaykh Imran Ally is a Toronto-based Canadian imam at TARIC Islamic Centre, known for his community leadership and chaplaincy work with first responders and healthcare institutions.
